Cobra's Market View

Cobra, What if anything do you make of the divergence of VIX and SPY on daily charts. VIX staying in range and SPY breaking down. Seems very odd to me!

Cobra, great job this week.

Just 2cents worth (and maybe worth less than that) but The breakdown below support on the Daily Vix is telling. It needs a short cool off but that is a pretty powerful thing for the market when coupled with current sentiment.

Don't think his comments were bullish (calling for a revisit of lows). Just think he is playing the patterns and price action that is presenting itself. JMHO.

I don't know what's happening with AAPL but the chart looks like an exhaustion bar to me. :shock: pre-rally of ip5. rumored to be released on oct 15. i called for it 2 months ago. I think the rumors of Apple TV is getting louder too...Supposedly they want to completely redo the TV watching experien...

spx turned up right at yesterday's opening hour highs with little/no overlap. This could go a while but just a rebound bigger picture IMO

Cobra, I just looked at your SPY short term trading signals chart and I think there is a visible divergence with regard to RSI. Do you see it and do you make anything of it at this point?

Just a thought Cobra, you may want to post the book list to the "Getting Start" thread. I bet others ask and I know several of them are very good (I've read about 2/3s of them) so I trust Uempel on the others.

Tough week news wise for TA. We had Buffett and BAC, Earthquake, Jackson Hole Speech, Hurricane. That's an awful lot and I am probably forgetting something. You've navigated it well this week Cobra...thanks!

Bulls seem to be playing inverted H&S on the 5mins...a bit late to work for today but pretty classic set up Sure, but maybe Bears. Maybe a lot of short covering for those who have been shorting the rips all week long. I don't imagine any trader wants to be too much to one side ahead of tomorrow...
