SPX was 3-standard deviations away from the 50ma for five days
excessively oversold
bounce Friday and probably next week is essential for a reset

How boom and bust cycles progress:
No two bubbles are alike, but they all share a common structure. Here is a summary of the key stages of market bubbles that allow you to identify them as they happen.

Pasta here: I'm guessing we are somewhere near the yellow circle. Only a new high will change my mind. That seems unlikely but anything can happen.

Nice visual showing who the culprit is in this bubble, as if we didn't know.

From It is what it is Department" Are we bottoming? or where are we going from here?. Internals are not improving, short term momentum are improving. I want to see $BPSPX closed higher than previous day as a minimum requirement for bottoming, as of Friday it's still heading lower.

Chart wise at the current moment: 1) inside Bear flag pattern? 2) inside Ascending triangle? 3) inside wave 4? If I have to pick one chart pattern to put my money on I will go with Ascending triangle, easier to trade with, easier to identify if it makes or fails faster.

Or Gann like lines?

My Swing setup is now back on buy the dips. bullish above 5DMA, as you can see here the BB is getting tight, we might have a good rejection once upper band is visited? best is to wait for next dip to buy in, the text book entry.

Friday price action ends the day with a very bullish move. bullish engulfing in nature. (Cobra will tell you that bullish or bearish engulfing the next day is not so much as what its name suggested) anyways, I use HOD as a pivot on Monday trading , auction house theory, keep on bidding up or down she goes. keep it simple. Peace!

SPY daily. 3 Line Break. Is this pullback a drop in the bucket? Or serious/scary business?

I have not read any ''guru'' views, as of yet. Might check John Murphy and Tom Bowley on StockCharts. I've paid a lot of attention to them over time, although that was mostly a few years ago.

Lots of speed bumps on the way up. Good sized pullback now. No panic in the atmosphere, as of now, it seems. The last bar in the weekly 3 Line Break chart is a bull. That is a positive note.

As noted earlier, deep pullbacks set up value plays.

This trader prefers a trend, up or down, rather than a range. I'd rather play pullbacks in a trend than fades in a range. Just in my opinion.

A tough January for many companies. DAC has done well.

$AAII bull - $AAII bear is arguing for a bottom now, well, if now still is the past.
