THE ELEVEN SECTORS
WEEKLY
Seven of the eleven sectors printed lower lows
A cursory look at volume on the weeklies.... it doesn't look like exhaustion,,,

Possible Swing trade off the 200ema. It worked in Dec 2018 :)

Perhaps due to recent Putin and Hurricane concerns now is not a good time to allow a further financial collapse, even with inflation

SPY daily.

Lots of negative indications.

MACD, Elder bars, EMA 20 50 100, Bollinger Bands, Trendlines ... All down.

Breakdown out of a base.

Pushing down beneath the June low.

For now, for this trader, the bias is down.

How about all that volume? Some capitulation of course. But there is a huge amount of short selling.

How about a double bottom? Still possible, but the odds are against it. A longer pause is also possible, extending the base.

Just in my opinion.

my bet on decreasing USD on tuesday was correct. yet the long stocks failed. fortunately long gold miners of-sett the loss. now some say equities should move too. we'll see. the doom and gloom feels as thick as in 2008. agree, no panic yet.

we'll see...

SPY daily.

Every once in a while, given time, I look at the Public ChartLists on StockCharts. Some excellent stuff there. That's where I caught onto Cobra back in 2012.

EMAs are classic, simple powerful indicators. My faves are 10, 20 and 50. At different times I have used a 13 34 crossover.

On the chart are three combinations from the Public lists, that can be very useful for swing trades.

I like the 10 20 crossover the most, but all are good.

Oh yeah, btw, it looks like the bias is down. ;)

Sometimes it helps to look at it from a bears perspective:
I wouldn't be holding SPXU here for sure, but then I was never a momentum trader so who knows..
