09/19/2011 Intraday Watering

Gap down below Friday's range, so there're chances that the gap won't be filled. Clearly every overnight dip was bought aggressively last week and before the next day open, the ES already recovered all the night's losses. This time, however, is a little different, the aggressive dip buyers didn't recover all the losses. So let's see regular hour session, as also every morning dip was bought aggressively almost everyday last week, the question is: will this time be different? I'm not sure but my guess is yes, because the Friday's morning dip buyer failed to bring SPY to new intraday high unlike all the past 4 days.

By the way, thanks again for the testimonials. I really really appreciate!

Good morning, Cobra! Thank you for suggesting that we visit “investimonials”. It is an interesting site, where one can view lots of opinions, and I was happy to post a few words showing my appreciation for your work.

Friday I had clear indications that SPX was going to stay above 1208 on Monday and then move higher - the break above important MAs (not visible on the charts) and the break back into the big dotted black channel you see on the two charts - the second chart is a close-up. So I closed my shorts Friday and wanted to wait for a higher high. And now Monday morning the futures are pointing down and the market might tank... Was Friday a real bull-trap for fools like me

$VIX and SPIXU display now recently completed amd similar (but not identical) bullish harmonic figures.
During the Weekend Watering discussions I noticed also that…“the time periods spent by VIX under the inside envelope (blue) are rare, short and precede a violent upside move… On this chart they are labeled in blue: 1, 2...”

Most likely I'll, it's a very short-term play, not suitable for inexperienced, that's all I can say.

A simplified SPX 60 minutes, on which I kept only 2 MA-s (explained on chart) and added a Fan that seems to work well:

As painful as it was, I spent all of last week adding TVIX (long VIX) positions through the rise of the market.

This was done in the anticipation of the 10/80 weekly SMA crossover.

We now have a confirmed cross over on the ES.

I am fully deployed long TVIX as of last Friday.

Now that we have the cross over, I will get the popcorn and watch what Mr. Market will show us, as it has every of 10/80 weekly SMA crossovers in the past 15 years.
