Ha Ha can't follow yesterday's end because no shorts left to squeeze. Also not every day a giant company with a huge pile of cash shows us it is slowly going out of business and shares ramping straight up on a 10% decline from original revenue forecast.

I am so old I remember the Fear of Missing Out during the climax of the tech bubble. So I like companies where things are going up and to the right without having to change the scale on the chart.

My trendlines may be off by a bit but they do say there is room to go either way without disruption to the trend.

Care to estimate when this company might close their doors?

Or maybe which year they will have their first quarterly loss?

MAKING huge amounts of money every single quarter, even if the totals may be less than desired by some, is not a way to go out of business.

Sure the stock price will go up and down, but that is more a reflection of the market games, not the longevity of the company.

Apple isn't going out of business. The money they make is nice but the future is all about the growth rate. High margin phones are slowing and the investment is in low margin services with established entrenched competitors. All the balance sheet cash is there because they innovated and had a monopoly on exciting new things, just like CB radios and PCs. While media may overlook the obvious problems at some point it will be clear that the buybacks can no longer be sustained and they will join GE.

They were masters of the universe back in the day with the PC business when the board put an apparatchik administrator in charge. History tends to rhyme a lot. Or as Heidi used to say on Project Runway "In fashion one week you are in and the next you are out".

Big picture (ES), this is when lightening strikes, the line in the sand is last high, a trade back under it will signal a failure. this is where the Permavbull folds.

The margin on their services segment, which is growing rather nicely, is roughly double that of the hardware segment.
