A lot of stocks are falling knives, long-term, even AAPL.

I'm trying to be careful in selling my longs. I have negligible individual stock exposure, most are in ETFs. I was hoping for a several days bounce. We might not get several days, though.

stop loss or agressively manage based on M05 crossover. Just trying to understand your system and see if it can be incorporated with mine and cobra's
Thanks

Details of VIXies M05 setup has been discussed in the subscriber's area mostly under trading signals. You can search with my or Al's name.
Setup doesn't employ stope-loss as it is against the basic premise of setup;vixies act before price responds.

Be careful with XME, VALE, CLF
I did a panic sell on CLF at 31.53. I have CLF dividends coming, I hope. So that somewhat mitigates the CLF disaster.
I unloaded some EWZ at 51.73.
I was 94% long at pre-market. I'm currently 70% long.
I can sell my VALE & XME tomorrow

Paging other "VIXies Trend Line Wizards"
This VIXie setup has...still in testing...
Interesting. Looks like you go by the cross of EMA?
Also to note my M05 which tends to be earlier than hourly is still in Buy mode.
In this case, yes, since it is in the direction of the overall trend. If a break of red trend line would have occurred first, that would have been the signal. To take counter-trend position requires trend line break. I'm still paper trading this setup.
well, as I suspected, here comes the miraculous coming back. Fib 61.8 is the bears last hope.

Won't that drop the price 20$?
YES... And you cannot buy puts because they create a special class of options..

This dive in the price of CLF is a great reason why you can't just look at a high yield and fall in love. The longer term weekly chart of CLF has been a sell since at least April of this year. It's gone from 55 to 30.xx while paying about half it's 6.xx% (then) dividend. Ouch.
XIV still looks bullish so far...could be in a bull flag in a bear wedge...in the short term...looking for another pullback...there is a big gap below...
but we could be "generally" up into the end of December (very choppy) so I don't necessarily see XIV dropping hard until after...there is the potential we don't see the "big" moves down until after trading sideways until beg to mid Feb....
