SPY daily. PnF, the slow moving freight train. Still moving up, on a bounce. Lots of overhead weight and resistance, however.

So how does this play out short term? Well, the ideal way is a new high (3960?, 3985, or the big round at or just above at 4000.50-4018 ) then a decline into Wed. TO (3873, or 3856) then up to the peak around July6-7th. We could of course get the decline first . Globex Sunday night should give some clues.

The other thing that fits nicely is the market geometry...The low at 4101 to B at 4631= 530 points. From the current low C to D comes to 4165.Might mean nothing. What do u think?

SPY performance
(purple circles): Note that the March rally had the love and support of the top SPY holdings; the late May rally barely registered before it failed, and this week's rally isn't YET getting much support from the SPY peanut gallery. SPY needs more help.

VIX 20ema still above 50 meaning sell rallies:
I have no position because of all the bearish sentiment when that last support failed at the bottom. I will not be chasing.

I think they want oil below 100. Then the stock rally ends?

From "It is what it is Department" Short term momentum is bullish, we got all the signals of a bottom, the next question is will it sustained? we are too early for that, for me the daily trend following sell setup fail first before I can say the bottom is in.

First day $NYMO >0. short term turning bullish plus a big positive divergence on $NYSI.
1.PNG
For the bottom to sustain, Hi/Lo index must stay above 0 line, for now that is not the case. :ugeek:
3.PNG
Trend following setup, sell the rip, not overbought enough just yet. the higher the better sell setup in this case.
2.PNG
Intraday, positive price action, expecting higher trading price unless we Trade under 38.2% then things might change and reverse down sooner. remember it is end of month window dressing also. Trade well, Peace!

My comments are for entertainment/educational purpose only. NOT a trade advice.

OOPS : 4632.5-3807.5=82.5 . Steele would round to 83 days and starts with the day after Friday 3/29. DAY 82 is JUNE 17TH. Day 83 is Sat 6/18 so Steele would use the 17th. if the number fell on Sun, he would use Mon. the 20th ( dont know why i got 5/24 in my head)

XLE is sitting just above the 200day sma/40week sma, which is now in the $66 range. The lower bollyband, on a weekly chart, would be about $3 below that. The weekly low on XLE was 69.50, and a level of former resistance and now support from February is around 68. If this recent decline continues, and carries price thru these levels, we could see a quick capitulation freefall down to that strong psychological area of the rising 200ma, which has not been tested in a long while.

Analysts I follow indicate oil demand is strong, and add'l supply can no longer be readily obtained. The slope of that rising 200day supports this thesis. In past stagflations energy was the leading sector. We are not leaving stagflation anytime soon.

Is anybody else slavering their jaws at the thought of XLE in that juicy 66-68 zone?
