I posted a short piece by the author of a book on the weekend posting. In November he pointed out how Goldman Sachs sacked Greece. It's worthy of the read when you consider the guy who stuffed some code he got while at GS to a German server was arrested by the Feds (very unusual) when he returned to Newark Airport from a new job prospect in Chicago. In the case the judge made a comment alluding to the code, in the wrong hands, being able to manipulate the market.

Whew, we were lucky Goldman Sachs got it back (Dr. Evil laugh)...AH HAHAHAHAHAHA...AH HAHAHAHAHAHA

To paraphrase Robert Klein with his comedic genius in an album, "Mind Over Matter", "Even Aborigines in the outback have heard of Goldman Sachs". (picture to follow)

Interesting spot for /CL testing that channel resistance here

More astro trivia related to oil...Oil has a major turn date March 14th around the time the situation with Iran and Israel could get heated...we will see if it will be a bullish or bearish turn...

Iran - High Noon approaching (03 Feb 2012 15:18):
More dire words are being spoken about Israel attacking the Iran nuclear facilities soon before they bury them so deep underground that only UK bunker-busting bombs could get to them.
Pin pointing exact dates is notoriously tricky but Uranus getting to 4 degrees does show up on a few of the relevant charts which is mid March onwards - on the Israel chart there's an emotionally on edge tr Uranus square Venus and trine Moon. Tr Uranus also then squares Uranus on the Iran 1906 chart and on the Ayatollah Khameini's Leadership chart. Though there's pressure building before that especially from late February. (see Jan 2 and 3 posts below).
Tr Uranus returns to that same degree in November 2012 to early January 2013.
The peculiarly stressed Cancer Solar Eclipse which sat exactly on the Midheaven located to Teheranm - is being very challenged from late February this year as tr Pluto moves to oppose the Sun Moon and tr Uranus returns to the Eclipse degree in March.

since it hits the channel top, so even we do have pullback here, bulls should have at least one more push up here.

I knew an astro friend, and he told me two years ago that Facebook would IPO in 1Q 2012, and that Mark Zuckerberg would not stay with the company long, and that he moves on to other ventures...

Here is astro trivia on Facebook....

Facebook - dragging its heels to IPO (03 Feb 2012 14:44):
Facebook has announced they will float $5 billion shares in an IPO to be held a few months away after regulatory checks have been done. Though this is only a fraction of the $100 billion it is supposed to be worth. Commentators murmur that the heretofore fiendishly secretive company is not ready for the kind of public scrutiny this will involve.

The Facebook chart, 4 Feb 2004, if that is the correct one, doesn't look that upbeat this year. Apart from one superficially glitzy Solar Arc Jupiter opposition Venus at the moment which is all puff and no solidity, there are some really draggy influences this year. An undermining tr Neptune sextile Mars, a highly strung tr Neptune conjunct Uranus, a very-slow-progress (if any) tr Pluto opposition Saturn and trine Solar Arc Mars and a jolting tr Uranus square Saturn.
Mark Zuckerberg, 14 May 1984, looks similarly confused, disappointed and edgy apart from an upbeat blip in late April. Where he looks to be hitting the jackpot is in 2014/15 when tr Pluto is conjunct his Jupiter in Capricorn which is mega-quantities of money and confidence.
Maybe he'll cash in and get out then.

Bears still have chances, but no question I have my shorts on a tight leash at this point. Bears look weak and bulls look weak which generally favors the bulls.
Just got back from a meeting. They got my TVIX at $16.85 which was the 200 MA on 5 min + a few pennies. Low volume + equally weak = bullish.

target. but I don't believe it.
Neither did I.

I'm trying to get confirmation on a short article on a suspected new HFT called "The Whale" (seriously). They sit it on the market and it goes nowhere. Now why would that happen? I'm looking for an article I read with the numbers paid to firms FOR trading. I think it was that if a firm can trade $35 million in stocks at the same price (buy and sell so there is no risk) that they get over a $100,000 rebate. I can't locate it right now but the numbers were enormous. And if that is true then now we know why we are starting to open at a changed price and sit because to sit it at the prior day's price means some players won't do it again. Exchanges exist to make the members, and the top professionals that move large money and who are also members for exchange privileges, large profits. They might even state in their By-Laws that it's "Price Discovery", but it's about professional profit. And while they do have all pension plans and 401K plans loaded with stock, they have removed the public. And removing the "speculators" (remember that they are deemed to be the cause of all evils) seems to be accomplished despite the volume.

Please help. I Googled for a definition of "P bar" but didn't come up with one. Could someone send a link to a site with the definition? I thought I had found it once on investopedia.com but I couldn't find it there either.

thank you in advance
