BANK OF GREECE ‘PRINTING ITS OWN EUROS’ SAYS BELGIAN ECONOMIST

Johan Van Overtveldt
Belgian website’s banker mole reveals stunning truth

Yesterday, the Belgian website Trends led with an investigative article using a mole inside the Bank of Greece. The allegation – put forward by prominent economics writer Johan Van Overtveldt – is that the Bank has run out of money from other sources, and is simply printing its own euros to keep the other Greek majors afloat.

That is and should be the only thing in traders mind, making money but share the love and knowledge. let the other guys figure out how to save the world. Uncle Ben come to mind.

I've got nice resistance up at 1400ish. Not sure if I'm going to trade today or tomorrow, but it sure looks attractive.

Out but that’s just me
What platform r u on?
Freestockcharts.com showed NO BATS TRADES in GLD for 15 min about 2:15 to 2:30 ET; same schwab.
Spread was 80cents to 83cents, then 82 to 85cents
U never know if next trade will be 52.80 or 52.85 or what… ok fine….next schwab trade was 52.77
SUCKS…That’s my prob with thin low volume
Drive a truck thru those spreads
At least when I have 1million+ shares per day ETF, when I blink I can get out at a decent bid…

because traders like to trade, both sides. not to watch it go up and up and up.

If Greg Smith placed heavy short position on GS before he sent out the letter and resign, would that considered insider trading?

IMF: Expects Greek Debt Ratio To Hit 116.5% in 2020 and they see notable strengthening labor market in greece  Todays unemployment rate : 20.7

They must be on crack same the market

I can only speak for myself, but I have no question that in 3-5 years none of us will be discussing the mkt as it will be untradeable. See the Nanex article "Race to Zero".

There is a push in Europe for a financial transactions tax. If they institute the proposed 1/2 of 1% per side, none but the buy-and-hold for weeks/months/years will be left. Look at your 1099-B and see how much that adds up to. And of course, trading desk profits will be exempt.

I don't hate the market. I hate that they are killing it for massive short-term, risk free profits.

I have a Wall Street past and I know brokers who are starving and looking to change careers in a bad job market for 45-55 year old men. Even a young woman I met at a party (stunningly good looking, by the way) said they could tell all of them one day they'd get two weeks pay as their entry cards no longer worked and they can pick-up their possessions over at the security office as they are having less to do each month and the entire desk knows it. Their in-house computers do the trading of positions (not talking algos here), they have been not doing as well as in years past, and the client-broker relationship is going to be a dinosaur.

This is all a result of 42,000 bids/offers a second placed just outside the mkt in an attempt to trick other computers to trade, or to stop (most often) selling.

I don't hate the market.....I hate the SEC and those who give them their marching orders as this is institutionalized rape of the public. And if we do collapse one day, they will be the wealthy culprit that causes it.

it can stay flat here. close above SPX 1400 would be bullish. bulls just need to hold a flat line for the last hour --- but they are too greedy for that, so expect pushes up.
