I think EW guys would call that wave IV and now we are making a wave V. Non EW guys like myself just sit and watch and pick up scraps like the GDX move.

XIV works as the inverse of the VIX, but it is easier to chart....don't know why....????

Vacuum...HFTs drove it back higher after every algo playing sold it. I'd say it might need a new high, or that was the last wave. It will be even thinner now today after that move. People are drinking or cursing.
