There is an additional reason to watch IWM or $RUT. Many traders think that the summation of the Santa Claus Rally and the January Effect is reflected mainly on the small caps…which are the main candidates to go up nicely...Indeed…today, already, all my small cap stocks are up significantly, as a %.
hi cougie
I know u like spreads, but this is extreme, ouch (it’s arguably the most famous dance clip in film history, a national treasure,
noted for the spread action at the 2:24 mark)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNKRm6H- ... re=related
Hey Al! Yes, nice dance ..but talking about spreads…this is not a great time for spreads, right now!
In Oct, Nov, and even the first part of Dec, I did well by selling front month options, obviously, because the VIX had an UP bias. But now, it has a down bias. And I have to go strictly with the short term trend…Very frustrating…
Today, I could have gotten creamed with my leftover overnight puts but I had QQQ and AMZN puts and no SPY positions. I was simply lucky and got out in time. Now I am waiting for some divine inspiration…LOL!
Hopefully, we’ll find the magic trick next year!

99er,
Sorry to bother you. Do you have function of MACD on your indicator screen? what you are showing is MACD Histogram, Your chart is very precise. What I see on my 60 min chart is that MACD is curling up. Of course your time frame is different than mine. Other parameters are eh. Thanks.

Well guys it been lovely. Time for a Latitude change. Stern warning to bull – Commercial credit markets in secondary countries are frozen evidence Ted & Libor steady climb + a couple well placed contacts. Same circumstances developing now as 2008, spell troubles ahead – not a matter of if but when – this time uncle benny hands tied so no ppt to rescue.
One man junk another man treasure and for a man willing to risk his fortune there hundreds at his disposal willing to work, hope and pray for security. I really do love generous bull as in 2009 and finally “Aye Quit” – Thank You!

basically, bears don't want to see another push up here because it'd be then an Ascending Triangle in the forming. So bears pray here.
