IWM is looking good. Break out of what looks like a bullish flag could be significant.

This is what I got on IWM, one more push, a little strong one. I don't see it will be done today unless they try to gap Monday

What do you think of the bullish flag idea?

very possible, see volatility buy/sell signal, it's not bearish any more so....chance are high for bull flag but we are heading into a weekend, I will be light into the weekend on the swing position. intraday, I am done now as I am writing this. here volatility buy/sell signal, not bearish any more.

SWalsh, okay you bring up a very good point that makes me second guess my "brilliant" plan. Thanks for the reply But the way I see it.....holding an equity overnight exposes you to the same "black swan" event. Do you never hold an equity overnight without a protective corresponding option?

Sure....and maybe I made an assumption in your plan of leverage as most people who I have seen blown-out forgot leverage was a double-edged sword when selling options. As an example, if you have $50,000 in an account and your position can only lose that amount at $0 in the underlying (let's say a company making just a cancer treatment drug has the FDA find that their product causes cancer and the stock is worthless overnight), you know what your loss is. If you are leveraged and your margin call is for $200,000 your chips are gone.
