No, I actually is a victim today.

I saw the crash before I left for lunch.

my break even stop loss didn't trigger somehow!

so I had to sell, almost at today's low!

then I cancelled the stop loss.

now I'm really worried, besides lose big (since I traded futures and the break even stop loss didn't trigger and I sold at almost the low of the day, so it's roughly 12 to 15 points!!!), there're chances the stop loss did trigger, just it didn't reflect into my account yet, maybe after a few days, it'd be confirmed sell, then I'd end up selling TWICE today, so the worst case is the market simply up and up and up from here, then I'd be dead man!

Meaning a sustained downturn would not start until Thursday?

GASOLINE [Bespoke, yesterday]
“Thankfully, in the seven weeks since gas prices peaked back at the end of February, they have now given up half of the gain they saw earlier in the year. As a result, we wouldn't be surprised to see this pullback have a positive impact on economic data in the coming weeks. That being said, current prices represent a key level going forward. After hitting a multi-week low of $3.51 per gallon last week, gas prices have now risen for three straight days. That $3.51 level represents an exact 50% retracement of the run up from $3.22 to $3.79. For the sake of drivers across the country this Summer, let's hope that the recent pullback off the highs was more than simply a test of the rally before a new leg higher.”

maybe the revisit of the crash now starts today. don't know. I'll keep cool today, although now you know the story. stop run is not the worst, what's worse is if the stop loss DIDN'T TRIGGER!

Sorry to hear that Cobra.
The crooked thing about these manipulators and the brokers.
IB even says that they allow the option to put a limit price on your stops
"to maintain an orderly market" - what a joke now we are market makers! LOL

I had a dream a little while ago (a month or so) that was about a flash crash and in the dream I asked how to catch it and the reply was to always have a short position on.

So I'm going to try to remember that and figure out how to do that - I guess never go long?

In any case I don't post my stops anymore ("they" pick them off too often) . Now I enter the stop orders, don't trigger them and set an alert.

Once again sorry about you having been robbed.

Wednesday has bullish aspects and Thursday and Friday have negative aspects...so thurs and friday could be down, I also have a turn on Thurs...

The following monday has positive aspects, but it gets negative later into next week...

I don't know how long a downturn could last?? Could be May 1-3 or May 6-8...??

That's ok, thanks. it's within my allowed day trade losses, so I'd consider it as a normal day trade losing day, that's it. but it does affect the moral today and I'm really worried if I actually sold twice.

I may be way paranoid, but I am pretty sure IB "sees"you have it teed up but not triggered and that is entered into their algo. Your IB screen is a live connection to their server. just sayin'
