Here's a general investment question:

If I sell my holdings of a dividend-paying stock after the ex-dividend date but before the payout date, will I get my dividend in purely cash or a mix of stock and cash?

cash. unless there's some sort of stock payment special situation thing happening.

For the wave traders i understand that if the hi is now in then we are in the wave 3 dn which will be wicked to the dn side. If we break this top and go to 1292 is the exception but then after that wave 3 will be in for the big move dn.

1. - An update of my first experimental ellipse, on REGN. Probably beginner’s luck..

2. - A new ellipse, on QID, which shows today a 6th point of contact, at the low limit of the acceleration band…

yesterday was outside day after the prior inside day. If today is another inside day - what are the chances having subsequent inside/outside/inside days? If I reversed the spy chart upside down and saw this pattern; I would think a bottom has occured.

Tried some Fibs on the VIX daily, interesting result. On the Bollinger bands it's not quite there yet, but that doesn't exclude a bounce.

On the Fib chart, if it doesn't bounce, it's a pretty steep drop to the next Fib line.

The point is, we now have reversal of reversal of reversal, right? so at least bears and bulls are equal in strength now. so there's a chance of trend reversal.

no, I don't trade option. option add another complicated layer to already complicated trading. I prefer the simpler the better. If you're not very very experienced, I don't recommend option.
