This is how I read Cobra: He is slowing his acceleration, will be in full stop shortly, and after that he will change gear, the speed is to be determined since Cobra is a very careful driver unlike me.
Yeah, you understand me. I don't want to be that early worm who gets eaten by bird. I'll use you or anyone who front run as my shield.

But how do you decide a trend is changed? what is used to decide? Let's say today's market drops 1% at close, would you think the trend is down or at least unconfirmed?
One thing you may want to look for is a break below or above a significant support/resistance level on heavy volume with that level successfully retested.

RE: Thanks for volume yest.
Those are the ratios I use on 60min but on 60 I’m just looking for “reversal” signals with them, as $NYDNV:$NYUPV often provides excellent bottom signals (but top signals on volume are much more elusive for me). I think I learned those ratios from Cobra years ago, but I’ve never used them on 1 min. (Notice here on 60m I’m testing yr ribbon MAs with fib and mid-fib settings !)
Already posted yesterday (note green circles=bottom signals):
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SPY&p= ... =252412304

Same with this daily “kitchen sink” chart, the volume ratios reveal bottoms when we’re lucky, but are silent at tops???
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SPY&p= ... =253376339

Anyway, I’ve worked the vol ratios into a 1min chart, and will see if they speak to me as clearly as they speak to you.

I’ll meet you at this P-Bar for a drink, and we’ll discuss… (“I’m at work” advisory)

is RSP a leading indicator?
RSP is equal weighted SPX ETF. so if RSP leads up, it means the up is broad based not because simply a few heavy weighted stocks therefore the quality is better than simply SPY is up alone, right? ;)
thanks

Gee thanks, dude. Why don't you share some charts?
I enjoy the commentary, makes things light and fun, and his charts are informative...like 99er says, if you have something better to say, then provide a chart, etc... we are all here to learn and share, not bash.... :)

My opinion: NO because I use 200ma 1min. chart to gauge my flag. this is why people confuse when the flag end or invalid you have to use something to measure it, let it be 20ma in 5min or 5ma in daily chart. if you use nothing than it is just a zig zag the low and high of it weight most like HH/LH or HL/LL for that maters.

A FUNDEMENTAL VIEW...
The market does look like its building up for another surge either tomorrow or friday BUT.
I have a problem with the Euro not responding and the Bonds so high today.
I noticed that the wizard has the market going down tonight followed by a up move tomorrow and friday.
With the Euro not responding to the ES this looks very likely .

I make the note that you just cant have both Insurance the Bonds and risk the market going up together or for that matter the Dollar.
A last hour pop might be interesting tho.
Also metals up and dollar also something wrong one must give way...
