My satisfaction always came from beating the market, solving the puzzle. The money was the reward, but it was not the main reason I loved the market (Jess Livermore)
not sure what will happen, but I suspect the next volume surge will accompany a sell off. Although that would be counter to consolidation and continuation, which appears to be occurring.
chart is bullish biased, could be a bull flag here.

Jarbo, I bought aapl at $10 ages ago - sold at about $30 a few years later - I don't even remember how long I held them. But I was quite happy with the trade and moved on to other stocks, indices and trading methods.
It's always good to get rid of stocks we love too much. Eleven years ago a friend and I bought ABBN (huge Swedish engineering company) when it was biting the dust, we paid $ 2 per share. It was one of the best trades ever, ABBN went up to more than $ 20ish in only 5 years. I sold when the stock came up to $ 20, but my dear friend still owns them, and I just checked, they are now trading at $ 18.17... Dead money for 5 years.
