Good morning,
I cancelled my buy order for a break above the 20DMA this morning, because the futures reaction to the news reminded me too much of a Fed minutes day, plus I hate to buy/sell gaps. There is usually a better price in the first 30 min. unless it is a gap and run.
That said, according to the Daily ADX, we are in a consolidation, which means use oscillators (and play the 60min swing, if that's your thing.) An average of the prior 12 60min swing lows would put us at 1637 (+/- 13) sometime between today and Monday. It looks like it will get there before I finish typing! But, if a higher low is made (>1628), bears beware, it could spring back up just as quickly. I have to hold my nose and trail a long entry, because that is what my swing system is telling me, but hesitant to take any position over the weekend because of the news flow. If a lower low is made, well, I don't know yet. Disclosure: flat

So this morning was extraordinary by any standards. Ultra high manipulation. Did anyone here see through it? and if so what is the key to knowing?
I actually had one sign which at least prevented me from losing and that was a bounce off my favorite VIX ema. Be glad to hear if others had an inkling though....
