My summation signal is down for the R2K and neutral for the SPX. A good break of yesterday's lows would turn it down for the SPX.
My composite trend signal is up with two of three critical indicators down.
My breadth related models (NYMO and Summation) suggest all is not well.
My other models are fine and up with a few warts.
We're still in the heinous trading range, and things can go either way. Perhaps both.
I think next week may be OPEX. Maybe the bulls can squeeze shorts and smush putties to new highs.
However, the recent tape shows little enthusiasm for buying at higher prices.
I am still in rental mode only doing day trades. That may change if I get a down summation signal on the SPX or if another of my critical trend indicators turn up.
I noticed ADX (average directional movement index) is getting quite low. Levels this low often precede a good trend. So, I'll be attuned to the way things are moving when ADX next turns upward.
Sharing research and ideas only, this is not trading advice.
