My signal is the VIX went from 11 to 22, that's 100%. next it drops to 17.

Sell sell sell sell....wait there is invisible hand out there that normally will pick up the tap right about here, so lets order another round of drinks. Buy buy buy... for trend followers there is no good signs for the buy that I can see short term, this is when the line " wish you were in is better than wish you were out" come in handy. be patience snakeville.

MO say oversold but wait for confirmation, the direction is down.

Fear is high, market never crash with low fear, some thing I have to remind myself often.

Short term I see no signs of reversal.

Daily chart is not healthy either, dead cat bounce at best.

I still think we have more down to go. I don't see a bounce as overdue. Odds favor SPY going below its 200 dma before this correction is over, IMO.

My powder is dry for which ever way we go. the fear is exceptionally high so that means a big move is coming.

“…the enormous open interest at the …SPY … October 190 strike is something we've had on our radar that is quickly coming into play. More than 550,000 puts are sitting at this strike -- more than twice the amount at the October 195 strike. Heavy buying of the 190-strike puts has been occurring since early September. As the SPY approaches this strike, sellers of the puts must short more and more futures to remain neutral as the option grows more and more sensitive to SPY declines. We have explained this "delta hedge" concept before, and it appears this phenomenon is in play at the moment. A breach of the 190 strike could generate further sharp selling related to this heavy put open interest until sellers of the puts are fully hedged. The upshot to this is if the SPY holds above 190 next week, short covering related to the expiration of these puts could be supportive of the market.”

There ought to be a way to see just how active the subscriber board is (on a daily basis) for those who aren't subscribed. Its not giving away content but it shows where the people are.

If we look at S&P futures Sunday evening - i.e. ESZ4: it's way down at 1884/85. This corresponds roughly with SPX 1991

I see so many charts that look like a waterfall event is coming, but I don't think that they built this up just to tear it down so soon.
