10 more S&P points to hit 1338, the IHS target. LOL. Who'd have thought that last Friday.

99er: I noticed that in actively UP-manipulated markets (like this one), bearish Gartley figures, when negated , are strong contrarian indicators, resulting in profitable BUY signals.
The Big Q is : when are they negated? I am using the breaking of an independently established and very close resistance.
Your thoughts?

not low enough. when momentum is strong, nothing matters, don't fight even you don't believe it.

You got to believe, be nimble on both side. 1min 200ma pays well.

Sorry about the delay; my modem just told me to (you know what). I think that last bar on the 60-minute chart created an exhaustion gap. As you know, Gartleys work best when there is a final push up above the 1-5 trend line. Let's see.

first of all, don't fight, trend is tide, even you can catch every wave (like I do  ), a wave that is against the tide has not much meat. so I'm very clear here, OK.

This bar could be an exhaustion bar. Let's wait and see.

An Elliott Wave guy could possibly count your chart as an A-B-C up now to 2.

Fun!

cheech wrote:My proprietary TLT:TIP ratio is predicting more lows in the S&P. We have a ratio of 0.85 which has preceded every correction or consolidation in the market since 2003. It is now flashing a warning, so lower prices are ahead, although sometimes the market can levitate for a bit longer.

The red vertical lines signal the 0.85 level. This simply means inflation expectations are too high which corresponds to a sell off in risk assets. Only in a few cases was it painful to be short for very long when this signal flashed, so the bulls who are predicting new highs in the S&P before a lower low may be in for a surprise.
Hi Cheech,

Do you have an alter ego? I recall Cletus posting this chart months ago.

LOL! like I do hahahah classic quote.

I noticed that when a market is trending hard like this, a lot of people wanting really eager to short the market. I think its very important for a trader to acknowledge that the trend is simply up, buy on breakouts or pullbacks. I think a lot of traders always try to catch the counter-trend move. IE: mean reversal trading, what goes up must come down mentality.

I am worried about the VIX, it is already at the lowest support.
