Buffet said on CNBC that he owns 5.5% of IBM so that is giving some pop to the Dow right now.

lol i am glad lots of people are now paying attention to eur/usd and the correlation. here is my view from early today.
Image

We know EUR has good positive correlation with equity. The correlation was very high since summer, because the crisis is from Euro-Zone anyway. Why EUR is not as bullish as US Equity? In the chart, I showed my zone to short in oval, but EUR hadn’t made there yet. In other words, EUR had not recover from the loss from 11/9 yet, while SPX made over 1.5% gain if considering the overnight trading just happening now.
The goal is not uniformity. It is understanding and idea exchange.

for anyone interested in economic predictions:
http://stats.oecd.org/mei/bcc/default.html
the oecd bussiness cycle visualization. notice the leading index is almost contracting while industrial production seems improved. this is exactly the kind of behaviour that leads to the "wyle e. coyote" market we're seeing. the recession in europe is a fact and the us is on the verge.

this kind of strong push down should be at least 2 legged. But i know most of you don't believe 2 bear leg anymore, so let's wait.

I am still waiting for this bear leg to start. Frustrating waiting for the market to do what needs to be done.

Internals http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SPY&p= ... listNum=15

Also, just a quick glance at how our “compression” of the bolinger on Friday’s VIX played out. That 5m vix crimp usually works, sometimes preceding a monster gap, sometimes small gap like today.
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=$VIX&p ... listNum=15

PAGING dcurban, thanks for AAII survey bullish, please clarify, once sheep reply bull, they’re already in no? But 44% is still small bull, no?
And AAII sentiment has spotty record of calling turns, no?
PS: that dovetails with our stock/bond ratio buy signal and a few other things that imply sheep and MFs may be long/starting to get long…

Small pilot short position on from Friday. Probably will do nothing today.
Signals are mixed. So, don't have much conviction on market direction for now.
Guessing that things churn and coil into Opex and that trend will clarify next week. Anything possible though.
Think next week will be interesting with super deficit committee news and black friday retail news.
