Yes, I do. I got out of GLD and now I am waiting to see what they do...ClarkW wrote:Cougar: I just got a reminder that a while back you mentioned GLD had a cycle turn date on 2/3. Do you remember this? If so, what are your thoughts?
Thanks!

2 possibilities:
1 = reversal
2 = higher consolidation, resulting, later, in a further UP acceleration...as they did last time, at a Fib time pivot.
had a strangle on amzn. sold the puts. holding the calls, but doubt they'll be much of a bounce. but actually lost money this time around, got greedy and built a bullish position thinking amzn would beat.L_T wrote:You still holding AMZN calls or puts?jarbo456 wrote:very nice man.L_T wrote:Paging Jarbo:
I found the following at Bloomberg showing the implied stock price moves for companies reporting results based on existing options data for the day. Looks like this is a daily report from what I can tell.
This report is what made me think I should play MTW as a strangle but I didn't make the plunge......my bad. Stock is up 9%+ in pre-market trading and the Bloomberg report shows it has an average move of around 9% during earnings.

It shows that in today's earnings GMCR and JDSU may be the best plays for earnings today into tomorrow.
not marginal enough.SB73 wrote:Cobra,
Did you notice that we gapped above yesterdays high?
Hmmmmm I saw you posted yesterday that a lot of people were thinking they would beat. If I take one of these trades I'm going to go as neutral as possible and just let the (hopefully large) price move generate the gain rather than guessing which way the price will move.jarbo456 wrote:had a strangle on amzn. sold the puts. holding the calls, but doubt they'll be much of a bounce. but actually lost money this time around, got greedy and built a bullish position thinking amzn would beat.L_T wrote:You still holding AMZN calls or puts?jarbo456 wrote:very nice man.L_T wrote:Paging Jarbo:

I'm vicariously living a TVIX trade through you black bird of DOOM. I don't like the looks of it until it breaks the daily 9 EMA to the upside but it also hasn't broken down yet either. Good luck.BullTart wrote:10AM EST = ISM numbers will come out. Odds are that it will disappoint given the not so good numbers yesterday.
VIX low last Thursday still in play, still dancing around the same range and trying to form a bottom here.
