We have been in a VIX up cycle for 18 trading days.
Typically, VIX finishes a climb in 20 days or less.
Mr. Market can do what he wants though. There's no reason this can't run longer.

We have spent most of the last eight days between 25.3 and 27.7.
At the moment, we are at the low end of the regression channel, which has been flattening.

There are two open gaps below at 20.6 and 19.56.

Seems to me that VIX will make a decision soon as to whether to head up toward the top of the channel (29 - 31) or to allow gravity to start pulling it downward.
Let's see what happens.

Now we're at the top of the range, let's see any sellers. For now, the pullback looks like a bull flag though.

Needing to be right is an ego thing.
Comparing mind can get in the way of good trading.
I know a trader who is profitable with a 35% win rate. Most of what he says doesn't pan out.
What matters is how much you make when you are right against how much you lose when you are wrong.
Sharing ideas and views can alert one to trade possibilities and trigger moments for attention, but everybody needs to trade their own setups.

In the spirit of full disclosure, my overall win rate across all my trading is 53%. Basically a coin toss.
I am wrong half the time.
So, you should take anything I say with a grain of salt.

The Atlanta Fed's GDPNow model estimate for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the third quarter of 2022 is 1.4 percent, down from 2.6 percent on September 1.

My current count implies September is about to fulfil it's destiny and crush what is left of the bulls.

One more run at 3950 and perhaps this will be one the that breaks through that being full disclosure i am loaded on calls and my win rate on calls is miserable so if the move up fails, i take responsibility as i rarely play calls
