"USA!"

(Reuters) - The United States remains the fourth best country in the world to live in, but adjustment for inequality drops it into 23rd place, according to an annual U.N. ranking of nations' development released on Wednesday.

Yep, all those little countries can afford to do that because they have a big brother that carries a big stick.

Cool.

Al didn't you just mention the Congo? This is from the story below. Guess I have to cross "Congolese copper prospector" off my list of future career aspirations.

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), torn and impoverished by more than a decade of war, was ranked worst in 187th place in the overall development index and 134th in the adjusted index.

Is there anyone, who knows when the Greek referendum cannot be called back any more. Now Papandreou still can be pressed and convinced to call it back, I think. But there must be a vote, probably by the Greek parliament, when the referendum is anavoidable.

Thanks for the update, Ben.

(Reuters) - The Federal Reserve on Wednesday slashed its forecast for economic growth, raised projections for unemployment, and suggested Europe's debt crisis posed big downside risks to the U.S. economy.
