i believe i see a good quality short setup. es target around 1220. need to work on the entry tho.

Dow Industrials and Dow Transports both currently sporting GREEN monthly candlesticks with long tails down to support.

i'm wondering if Cobra will talk about a potential 7 day strong push up from an important bottom. it's starting to shape up and look like it. not that this is statistically meaningful, but the last two 7-day rule events, the red candlestick came on the 4th day.

I'm also wondering if Cobra has any view on this.

Al, you sure like music. I remember Victor Niederhoffer trying to use melodies for his trding. But it ended badly.I prefer your intraday. Very meaningful. And I notice that I have stockcharts SPY realtime (didn't know, as i only use SPX/ES)

the next test to 200 dma bottom chart will be 4th test, but right now we are right at 34dma.

Move up on again on less momentum. Looking for low below 124 and then I'll close my short scalp.

I also agree with DowTrader.

Since July I have used options on SPY for quick moves and stay mostly in cash. Before July I would hold options for months but now the market has changed. We are in a volatile market (sideways market was February to July/trending market was September 2010 to February) so Trend trading is risky and difficult. Understand you cannot trade a Volatile market the same as a sideways market the same as a trending market. So develop different strategies for each and save yourself a lot of grief.
