Today is weekly options expiration... Ive noticed over the past couple of months that Fridays tend to trade in a range during the day as a result. I doubt we break above or below the highs and lows made in the first 1.5 hours. My bet is we stay between 1240 and 1254 on the S&P.

To all those bears out there, check this chart. Look at the green trendlines/grid. Behaviour of SPX since October is different than in the previous instances, when a break of green was a sure sign of further declines. But this ain't the main reason for my bullishness - medium term momentum is still looking strong and is pointing upwards.
As to the next two weeks: If market does not improve and keeps on hanging around in the trading range 1215/1275, momentum will lose strength...
Guys, have a great weekend, I'm off.

plus volume surge, so could be a pullback of some kind here, then we'll see, the bias now shifts to bull.

Love your updates, Cobra! I consistently look for them. Bears still have hope, yes?

Hi Cobra. It seems bulls just can tackle every resistance or reverse every bear pattern. Are you still bearish biased now?

Yesterday I said 1300 region was in play, I still see it, bull is quite strong even though I don't see where this optimism comes from. I think it is more governments pumping money into markets than mom&pop sinking their life savings.

*&###@@!!! Those are all very bad swear words, just not spelled out. I echo your sentiment 100% jarbo456. Da boys are mean sons of a gun. Note: Replace sons of a gun with very bad words. I am now in the red from what should have been a perfect trade. *&##@@@!
That was a perfect short setup, it just got busted by the buy robots. Ah, you gotta love those bots. Not!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we are in whipsawville, fun!!!!!!!!

Cobra, unless my system is screw, isnt the SPY MA200 at 127.48? I'm looking at Daily Chart -- simple moving average 200.

A pullback to 1243 on ES would make an objective long intraday trade.
