i'm holding shorts over the weekend. it'll be nerve racking, but i think since today ended the way i thought, i think monday we'll be in for some more fireworks. could be wrong of course, as i know cobra is predicting a massive rally at some point. i just hope it's not over the weekend.

well, guess that's it for today. it's perfect for me because I don't have to short for the weekend. I hate to disappoint bulls, but one thing I think bulls have to pay close attention: the retailers are very bullish just look at how many equities call they bought today: Certainly a big WOW. I just hope the final close reading is much different!

If the third push up is on the way and fails to break through 114 on SPY, does that mean bulls lose?

yes, it's losing momentum. but I sure hope it won't drop today because I really don't want to short before the weekend.

Thanks uempel for bringing the 377 MA to light. It is quite uncanny that number.

To many silver bulls. I hope you weren't too levered. I know of some people who have taken substantial paper losses. I believe that the selling will be a vicious cycle. It has found some sort of horizontal support in the $30 area.. and is just sitting on the 377 EMA coincidentally. If that breaks then I think it's headed to $27.. and worst case scenario $24 area are my targets. The way the selling has gone argues for more selling using Cobra's law of inertia example. And it makes sense.. more and more margin calls will be triggered - even taking out some stronger hands in the silver market. Don't try and catch an oversold bounce in such a levered market.. because more than likely you'll be catching a falling knife. Just some heads up.

something fishy. gold and silver crashed, but where the money go? not in bond not in equity. i want to follow the smart money, but i first need to find them.
a conspiracy interpretation, they r waiting for the meetings this weekend. with the money escaped from metal market, i will say it could easily push spx up for 100-120 points to like 1240-1260. of course the measurement will be similar if heading down.
