TraderGirl wrote:Interesting that both the VIX and SPX are up today... the market opened higher and so did the VIX...could this indicate a trend change?? or at least a pull back...???
I take VIX. That's what historical statistics.
If VIX true, then SPX could be red.
It looks like HFT/Algos were there causing that short covering if one reads the tea leaves. The market made, thanks to them, what would be termed an Illegal EW Move. We dropped in an impulse wave from the opening which was the start of a wave and could not be an ending wave (of a degree). ONLY a related (to the down wave) corrective wave should follow that. Instead, an impulse wave came along thanks to the machines knowing the stops were there. They really should move the market to Chicago and let some descendant of Capone be the top guy. It is what it is. And chief regulatory, Barney Frank. is leaving to honeymoon!
Some small sell programs hitting at 11:37ish as I post this:
$DJT has very, very well formed H&S on the daily chart that resolves down to ~4900. I am not good with posting charts - can anyone give advice on best method to use as I would like to contribute that way.... thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am new stockcharts.com member and in the process of setting up my charts. Can you post a few of your must have charts and settings in the default list?
Petsamo wrote:Remember guys, if you buy UNG today and hold overnight, there's a reverse split. You'll wanna buy a number of shares divisible by 4.
I am not sure how many people are interested in UNG on this board. given the frequency/percentage of your dedicated posts about UNG and the less-substantial content of your posts, your are risking yourself being viewed as a "pumper". just a random thoughts:-(

Don't think petsamo is trying to pump, think he's just focusing on an etf that has been beaten down. Bulltart is not pumping TVIX either, just trades they are doing....
1. The current pullback is clearly corrective therefore a Top is not in place.
2. The s/t EWP could be a DZZ
3. If this is the wave (IV) of the ED then it is required the overlap below w(I) at 1352.75
Be patient, don´t get too agressive on the short side yet

We did trade the Dow at 13,000.84 (now 13,002 with HFT activity at 12:06)
I thought under "The Law of Big Numbers" it could see this level. Breaking the low just might be a good short as on "drop-it and turn-it days", the low has held all day. That's all I'm looking at now.
We are inside of 15% of the all-time high. By definition, the high is too expensive by at least 5%. So we are 10% from the market's highest value and we are an economic mess. I see only two possibilities:
1- Very big money recognizes that we will be modeling Argentina of 1999-2002 and the mkt will go up although not increase in real value between new taxes and inflation
2- Mr Ponzi has his last buyers entering the market
