My indicators are beat up stocks and ETFs (X, XME, EWZ, F, FCX).
If the beat up stocks start to outperform IWM (Russell 2000), then a bottom is near.

I think much lower lows in them markets are headed here, I was just thinking of taking some profits, a bounce here in SPX would be not unreasonable.

I'm not sure about the importance of today's low. I'm absolutly sure there is further downside, just don't know if there will be a bounce in between. Tomorrow's expiry might be messing up...
