True, but Cyprus showed that they can't go straight for the deposits because of this pesky democracy thing. Any member who votes for that isn't getting re-elected. Thus to bypass that you need to make it a restructuring and in order to have a legit restructuring you need to wipe out the shareholders and bondholders before going for the deposits. Yes but the holes in the european banks are huge... so there is no way deposits could be safe... take your money and run before it's too late... that's the game now... Till now we though governements and EU would save us.
