yes, on a technical basis there is little to no reason to suspect a bottom

as far as sentiment, crude sentiment seems pretty buried, that's one reason

another technical reason is that XLE is re-testing its recent low, so there's a chance of a double bottom

VXN p-bar followers (me), VXN hasn't even filled the huge gap up and QQQ is up .25%, could be a big up day

XLF is a powerful index, the most of any sector I believe. Huge volume came in this morning. If rates are stable to rising many financials will soar. I believe next year could be their big year.

Zero--- just put up the infamous Bloomberg most shorted along with the RUT and the QQQ. I was wondering if that was what was up, the classic squeeze to goose the market.
