A lower low on SCO short crude (green line) will confirm a “dead cat” bounce. That hasn’t happened just yet.

Of all the numbers that came out today, this one is the one that worries me most:

Construction Spending (MoM)
Actual:-0.3%
Forecast:0.3%
Previous:1.2%

This is truly terrible.

I am currently biased short, and this scan posted by Rob Hanna today has only a small sample size (10 instances since 1960), so “grain-of-salt”.
But all 10 instances were bullish, with best bull odds for monday (day 2) and tuesday (day three)
“Over the next 2-5 days there appears to be a nice upside tendency”

For TICK freaks, this is an uncommon failure
Tick zoomed up, suggesting short covering (JUST A SUGGESTION) and it is still upticking, but SPY price failed, and RSI couldn’t get above 50
The tick long signal is now in effect until tick makes a lower low
[note higher lows on spy]
