BHP Is Closing Nearly Half Its US Shale Rigs.
Wednesday morning in Australia, Australian mining giant BHP said it would shut down 40% of its US shale oil rigs by the end of its fiscal year
BHI = 9k layoffs
HAL = 7k

spy already approaching the middle of the bollinger bands. this is a powerful rally and the meat of the move may already have been digested by weeks end.
one tell that friday was a bottom was that various forums were bottom picking all the way down but stopped it fri, over the werkend, and now. virtually all bears which was quite bullish.

Perfect. A few more weeks/months at current low prices, then the smaller firms get all liquidated or sold and the second round of fun begins.
Space X calls it an unscheduled rapid deconstruction or something like that when their boosters blow up. I wonder what they say on the fifth floor of the Mariner Eccles Building (Fed NY plunge protection team). The TF (Russel) sure doesn't look like lift-off move for the last hour. I think they need to give it another jolt pretty soon or down we go, as my indicators are all rolling over.

Russell breadth is actually negative. What in the world?
Other breadths look weak

"The pleasure derived from the misfortune of others" Schadenfreude. You obviously do not have any family employed in this industry. Just enjoying the misfortune of those with out a job now.

I was wondering why CL dropped when the Energy Information Administration (EIA) weekly report came out " At 387.8 million
barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories are at the highest level for this time of year in at least the last 80 years." Emphasis is mine.

Yes, perfect description. Realism and greed is very cruel

Also, every trader wants to be on the winning side and there's a loser on the other end. Is the slippery slope gonna be everyone is schadenfreude or only when you acknowledge the misfortunate? You snooze you lose
were in that phase where its an army of white candles, gaps up, & overbot readings that never subside while oscillator traders go short and get carried out on their shields.
