what time frame ?
any timeframe, we sold off for like 3 or 4 hours yesterday that's enough to make the market super oversold and primed for a huge bounce.
Yeah? And we bounced over 100 SPX points from end of Nov. Overbought to me
As Sam Kinnison said to Rodney Dangerfield in "Back to School"....."I'm going to be watching you"

Great scene:

Sounds like Rodney was talking about the Bears

WAVERIDER
TVIX: I see approximately ~64 million shares volume in last 8 trading days, in a 12.5 million share ETF…. turnover is astounding
(but I may be using stale prospectus numbers?)

PS: subtle but impt difference btwn OBV and the accumulation/distribution line (which was an “upgrade” to granville’s OBV).
Suggest test both…eg: accum/distrib line slight uptick yester.

I have been biding my time. Sentiment indicator - from Sentiment-Trader - is one of my favorite signals. We are at or near a long-term top in the markets, per bullish sentiment. We might be due for one last pop up (around 134ish on the SPY), but I'm not relying on luck. 20% short position (SDS March calls).

do you find the decay in SDS and theta in the calls to be a problem holding options on the levered etfs?
the decay is a big problem. instead of buying calls on the SDS you should buy puts on the SSO and vice versa.

A closed gap here could allude to the possibility that there won't be an impending need to revisit this level very soon...

With the smooth, unhindered run up, I am not surprised at all by the BTFD crowd. I intend on joining as well, just not yet. As documented yesterday, I sold all remaining longs.

Pagig Jarbo... for FTK.
The SELL entry signal was clean on 60 min.
For confirmation, I am waiting for a clear drop under 10.85 on the daily chart.
I have a small short position and I am ready to increase it.

cool.

How do we read it ?

Any paper or tutorial available ?

GM,
Finally DBV is negative for a change, I think bears got another score on their side.
My comments are for entertainment/educational purpose only. NOT a trade advice.

Cobra,
It looks like your AUD/JPY cross is leading the way down, for the Dow at least. Any thoughts on its chart?

nice!

i like some validation. i got in a small position at the neckline...added to complete a full position of 20 MAR 12.5 puts on the break of the trendline. my initial target is between 9.95-10.25.

but 8.75'ish could be in the cards.
