guaranteed but I would not rule out… a pullback”

TVIX has a bullish island reversal (daily time frame) + a potential fiver up (If 5 up then at least one more up leg should be expected)
So I don´t know if there is a major bottom in place but a at least a short term reversal "is guaranteed"
But as always I would suggest a step by step approach

Frankly, if everyone here simply posts links to his own blog, I have to make this forum private. SPX: In my opinion price is VERY close to establish a short term top ( 1 - 2 weeks)
If the top is not already in place then maybe a marginal higher high will "seal the deal"
If a top is in place and the current bounce is a wave (B) then the overlap below 1343.27 is badly needed.
Below a potential s/t count for SPX (if the top is not in place)
The Dow has in my opinion a better looking pattern with a likely Ending Diagonal which would allow "the last higher high"
