Can any one explain briefly why AAPL stock trading was not halted when it reached more than 10% against yesterday close this morning? Thx.

Why shut down the entire market when it is going good?

The idea of halts is to protect the markets from washouts, it gives the participants time to think things over.

The reason I asked was because I remembered yesterday Jupiter's stock trading was halted after the stock jumped 10% after the ER ...

Might have been because they decided to release it early, before the market close instead of after as they were supposed to.

yup, I gave in and went back to my old tick
but I changed the tick guideline envelope from 50/2.5 to 55/2.5 (fib) and added obv
I think my/your old one has vix in red behind nydec
And TNX green behind nyadv (?)….consider replacing it with $TRIN or inverted trin $ONE:$TRIN

PS: when u say no danger for bulls when its above 50, I think u mean when guideline is above zero, right???

Looking at 30 an 60 min SPX charts... MACD and Stocastics are overbought... I think tomorrow we drop some...
