what were we thinking at the time???? I do not have the patience and energy to be a great dad to a gradeschool child, the teenager has not become a challenge but, in retrospect, had great fun single in 20s and 30s, but being 50s and doing soccerdad, scouting, and trying to have patience to instill good values is rough....

Its clearly consolidation after a breakout, and then more up. Why would you short it?

While VIX has been with the bulls, the tick (middle chart) has left a lot to be desired today.
Note: This is a 3 minute chart.
I read the weak tick as a sign of distribution.
Bulls may lose some mojo if they can't get a good looking tick into the close.
Oh and now vix is creeping up a bit.

also Unchanged issues (as a % of Nytot) keep falling, while ADV is stable----lends support that there is profit taking as decliners creep higher,
