I wish I could make heads/tails outta that chart. I like your summations much better.

rhight wrote:Good morning all. The market was falling so fast this morning that by the time I edited my chart with the Flash applet on Stockcharts, and then uploaded it, the pinned notations had moved (stockcharts users know what I mean). Anyways, note that the Negative Price Reversal to 1087 was confirmed today, meaning down trend still in place (duhh!). When price reversals don't confirm (from my experience) it is a good indication that the trend is reversing (in the applicable time frame). At any rate, 3 accelerations in trend line sometimes precede a reversal. Projections made on 9/25 weekend watering hole still stand. Those pointed to a 1065 low on 10/5. Time will tell. I don't trade these projections, rather use them to clue me into when to look at other indicators of a trend reversal.

hi bushie: summation:
green bull advancing issues are gaining (watch for squeeze signals, parabolic up sticks)
red bear declining issues wane
just saw bull green ticks emerge on 5m filtered ticks
VIX now sorta confirming rally, dollar too, spy higher hi
May just be flag up to grizzly bear sell rip
May be trend reversal………. http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SPY&p= ... =244976875
Disclaimer: I am not an investment advisor. This is just my opinion NOT investment advice.
My downside ES targets are more or less met. Hence, i closed all my shorts and have partially gone long. Not saying we cannot go down further. Just that with so many divergences, it is hard to ignore them and be short. Playing safe is better than risking your principal IMHO. I am not sure if my decision is 100% correct or not, but i know how to save myself if market still insists on going the other way.

Which divergences are you referring to? I typically don't review any under 15, but I guess I see some on the 5 min
Do you have a target for VMW? Maybe fill the recent gap to land in the 82.50 to 83 range?
