Glad you brought that up, 03/16 is a major Bradley turn date and 22 is new moon. Together with the top calls from cobra and your chart should be enough warning signs that maybe we will get the drop. I'll try to post later what happened last year near major bradley turn dates. What i can say right now is that they better not be ignored. I exited from longs and now i'll wait till next week.KeiZai wrote:Use to be roller coaster
I don't know but how about Hype and Greed.jarbo456 wrote:anyone else find it strange that aapl has obviously gone parabolic - just look at the weekly chart if you can't seem to see it on the daily period - it's stretched over 40% above it's 200MA - YET the RSI is not even close to making a new high...at least 10 points from a weekly RSI high above 92...
how can that be if apple has gone parabolic?
not really a comment on the parabolic price, i'm just surprised to see a relatively muted response in the RSI.KENA wrote:I don't know but how about Hype and Greed.jarbo456 wrote:anyone else find it strange that aapl has obviously gone parabolic - just look at the weekly chart if you can't seem to see it on the daily period - it's stretched over 40% above it's 200MA - YET the RSI is not even close to making a new high...at least 10 points from a weekly RSI high above 92...

ta is a way to see the market in a framework--it is not the market. ta works at best 85% of the time--this is part of the 15%. aapl's time will come and it could be a function of smart phone installed base--by the end of this year that is supposed to be about half the people who have "dumb" cells. that is the period i would start to be concerned. a close look at aapl shows that iphones are where the value is at this time in the companie's stock price. odds are not that phone sales will die--but that margins will start to get tweaked as you hit 50-60% of "possible in the real world" installed base. and that is aapl's genius--the margins.
bottom line? everyone keeps saying this is not 2000--but what is similar to 1999 is the computer sales (recall huge in front of the bogus y2k problem) that were far less than expected in 2000 due to pull forward. maybe aapl can beat this but i would be amazed.
