Gold is testing double bottom - if it fails at 1640 there is a large gap to fall... like to 1600

It is taking only 100 stocks quote stuffs to move SPY 10-12 ticks. I've never seen it this thin.

Swalsh: I have been thinking a lot about the HFT problem and the thought that occurs to me is Shouln't it be the case that the bot doesn't care which direction is up? Why does there seem to be an upward bias built in to the HFT argument.


Unless Ben (the guy with the beard who has access to a big printing press) has a server room full of anti-HFT robots that push the market UP only?
