There have been few developments on the fiscal cliff situation since Boehner last addressed reporters during a press conference yesterday, when he indicated that little progress has been made toward getting a deal.
Early reports indicate that Boehner is going to double down on the same message today, hammering Obama again on the necessity of spending cuts.

I'd be quite surprised if this long does not work. This "change of direction play" has been going on for a few days now and it looks as though it's standard
