I see nothing wrong on the chart. The usual NFP pattern is open high go lower or open lower go higher. Let's see if today is the same.

SPX 5m.. Pink expanding triangle? filled yesterday's inter day gap.. made another this am.

Not even NFP day can make this market decide to do something lol.

I'd be perfectly happy to go long on a close above 189, or short on a close under 184. But doesn't look like that will ever happen again.

Maybe the best idea is to build out a long term position in gold while its still working on the second shoulder.

seasick yet? .... SPX 5m .. morning gap filled, and interday gap filled.

The daily SPY bbs have widened from close to 2 to almost 3 without any sort of huge gap or huge candle. that is not normal behavior. at this point the narrow band scenario is scrapped and we could sit in ranged trading for a while.

The historical stats shows that NFP days with gaps/morning gains, those gains are reversed to the closing.

So, following stats, NFP day is a sell day, if up in the early session.

But with the easy money all around who knows what may happen ?

Intraday: BPNYA +0.13%, BPCOMPQ -0.31%, BPSPX +0.54%, BPOEX +1.36%, BPINDU, BPNDX and BPFINA are flat. I'd love to short 1900 - but as long as BPNYA and BPSPX are creeping up the bias is bullish ...

VIX 15 made lower lows inter day..... SPX has yet to make a higher high.. fwiw. wild swings
