This drop is so powerful that if it quickly reaches the lower bb, its unlikely to stop there. Odds favor price just cutting thru the lower bb like a hot knife thru butter.

About that open gap...

While it is 2081.18 in the SPX, it is 2076.25 in the ES, a little different due to some trade after the cash close on 4/17.
Given the current spread between cash and futures, the gap could be considered more or less closed somewhere below SPX 2083.75.
