I would think the lows were temporarily reached because of the Fed's PDCF starting last night, but it doesn't get full no-liquidity-requirements power until the 26th, so maybe another test of the low before then.
The Senate GOP coronavirus bailout bill would cap executive pay at companies that receive taxpayer money [no executive at a company receiving money may make more than $425,000 in total annual compensation for two years, retroactive to March 1], while also allowing the government to take ownership stakes. The Senate Republican plan for relief to Americans includes $1,200 cash payments to individuals that would start to phase out at $75,000 in adjusted gross income.
Democrats are pushing for more restrictions, including the prohibition of stock buybacks by the companies receiving the money.
Now they negotiate the terms of the final bill.

Bruce- would you mind explaining this for us non-finance types? Thank you in advance!

The music always stops playing. Yet, we seem to assume the band is just on break.
It’s a brave trader who wants to initiate new positions of any size going into the weekend, but model-driven strategies will still be getting signals.
The moves today have made some important short-term charts show signs of trying to tempt traders to try to catch the proverbial falling knife.
Are you willing to assume that the bad news has already been priced in?

My comments are for entertainment/educational purpose only. NOT a trade advice.
BB charts on Feb 1st had no inkling of what was about to unfold.
I had been short for two years and I had all but given up. All I knew was that the bull was very old.
I agree regarding short term charts though.
