(Reuters) - Americans, who are suffering from high gasoline prices, believe the United States is on the wrong track by a large margin, presenting a fresh challenge for President Barack Obama, a Reuters/Ipsos poll said on Wednesday.

The proportion of Americans who believe the country is on the right track dropped 7 points in the past month to 31 percent, and 64 percent think the country is on the wrong track.

Emm, lighting eyes then. It is difficult for you to read the chart, I think you need different pair of glasses.

Really appreciate the discussion and expertise: thanks, Cobra and all.

Will try to contribute in future: but more of a swing trader than a day trader.

Normally checking in from Yorkshire UK, but currently in Ankara, Turkey!

I tend to follow the Dow rather than SPY. The daily chart looks quite bullish to me: 12,000 successfully tested a bit of an inverted head and shoulders. Up day close today should be very positive.

You can't fight the Fed with this money pumping craps.
Just have to play the damn game and get out each day.
The Fed buys $6.69B in Treasurys maturing 2015-2016, of $35.474B offered by dealers (monetization watch: $5.1B toward three-year notes issued Feb. 17), and notes hold today's gains: 30-year yield -0.02 to 4.65%, 10-year -0.02 to 3.535%; 5-year -0.02 to 2.195%; 2-year -0.02 to 0.7%.

OK, let's stop here. Personally, I think it's ok to post something from news about, well, social mood as it's part of trading. Just try to be nice to each other. We can disagree with each other but please say things nicely.

Strong bull bar, so the 2 legged pullback could be over, we may test yesterday's high at least.

So much going on now. I'm looking at the dollar and at crude. And did you hear that Pimco is getting out of government bonds? I'm not yet sure what the implications are. Difficult to trade now. I'm waiting for a breakout to either 1336 or 1288.
