It's probably best for the bulls if we finish at current levels. If we finish higher, overseas markets may sell it and we gap down. The DAX may look like it bottomed but the chart looks like it's still in a downleg
now the bias is up. tinted area could be the target.

A newbie here - glad to be on board-- keeps me focused
Had a trade work out for a change
Had prior arrangements this AM (East Bay needed to give up some fish)
So I looked for a trade this AM to put in a limit order on
Chose the SPY inverse SDS (Yes!)
Set a limit at 56.40 just below the close
SDS opened at the 55.80 range
Got a fill at 55.84 for a few hundred shares
Sometimes a blind --- finds a acorn
Thanks for sharing the excellent charts
hmm, failed breakout, now the bias is a little bit on the downside, as it could be 3 Push Up pattern here.

CNBC says there was a rumor mid-day that Fitch was going to downgrade US, and apparently Fitch denies that...
The obviously won't downgrade US until after elections....they probably have it in the cards, but will wait....maybe that is what sends us down after Christmas...???

I heard downgrade news from the radio. I don't remember the details. It doesn't surprise me.
A Doug Kass Tweet About Fitch Downgrading The US Caused Quite A Stir On Trading Desks Today
This tweet from hedge fund manager and writer Doug Kass got a lot of attention today.
@DougKass: My Gnome hears the market has retreated from the morning highs based on rumor that Fitch plans to downgrade US debt. Interesting that Bonds are catching a bid, but well off session highs (Reminder, US Debt rallied sharply when S&P downgraded) - and the DXY is jumping (Same impact from S&P D'grade). E-minis testing Sesison lows at 1404 - Volume picking up slightly. My peeps on the ground telling me this chatter is totally unsubstantiated & coming out of Europe.
In respnse to the rumor, Fitch told Reuters that it likely woulnd't take any action until the end of 2013.

Apple has missed analyst estimates two of the last four quarters. Tonight could very easily make it three out of five.
It already whiffed on iPad estimates. During Apple's iPad mini event, CEO Tim Cook basically told investors Apple sold 15 million iPads during the September quarter. Analysts had been expecting 17.6 million iPads sold.
