No. Should avoid Fridays due to weekly opex, have yet to see a failed breakout on a thursday complete on a Friday. Not sure why the insistence on predicting moves in a trendless market.

I have held and continue to hold for the forseeable future a closed end fund FEN.

Unless I miscalculated, FEN has a 6.4% dividend yield. whopee

Take a look at a longer term chart. Along with a nice yield I have about a 50% capital gain as well. High yield isn't so nice when your initial investment shrinks. As the old saying goes, "Sometimes return of capital is more important than return on capital."

Have any thoughts on oil price in general? This question is going out to all the boardies! I have seen a couple of different sources say the next move will be down again but I would like to know what everyone here thinks. Thanks.

Quick thought on GDX/HUI?

I had a mini health crisis yesterday - a vertigo attack as happened 3 years ago when I was sick for 2 months.
In any case, I slept in today and I'm up and reading as far as page2 but haven't done my morning pre-open data collection yet so I thought I'd made a quick post as day's end approaches.

(everything ES and CT)

Information tidbits I'm adding together:
* I noticed on Thursday a little mini double top 1417 @13:48 and 1417.25 @12:56
* This morning Cobra noticed a double top and wrote key time for bulls
("Key time for Global ES here as it tested the previous high and pullback, break the blue line below then it'd be a Double Top, so you don't want to see bulls fail here.8:05am") the possible re-test of 1430 area is looking to have been failed with the double top (but Cobra mentions everything is gone by end of RTH)
* Last night I noticed the sun opposes Jupiter over the weekend. This is normally a negative aspect but I'm not sure right now as Jupiter is in a 4 months retrograde phase.
* Gann red resistance 1422 (so we are close enough)

My thoughts are that we may have a correction over the weekend (or early next week), so I thought I'd give a heads up to everyone as it good be over the weekend and no other chance to go short. HXD had a $8.59 low this morning (very close to my $8.50 or less target buy mentioned last weekend).

Though it needs to break 1407 for the top in the 1420 area to be confirmed, you may not get a chance over the weekend to go short -so I thought I'd make the post.

My thoughts are that gap gets filled on SCO, but I'm wondering if we see some more upside first??

My charts say market holds up into 6/7th...so possible we could see some downside soon after that time frame...

Quick thought on GDX/HUI?

Looks like a pretty solid down trend to me. Looks like if GDX breaks 47 it will at least re-test the lows if not more than that. If someone forced me to take a position and hold it for a couple of weeks I would be short. Of course if solid gold tickle me Elmo dolls are the sleeper holiday craze this year all bets are off.

This is just a test, but in real trade you will shuttle between XIV and VXX long.

Are you getting me a gift? If it is solid gold, I don't care what shape it is in; I'll take it. I bought a Gold Buffalo in 2007 for $800 and kicking myself for only buying 1 back then.
