OK. Counting boxes, the 1/2 retrace is here then. I wish this dog had some fight left in it, but the future of the situation is very murky, ie China's future commodity needs, currency devaluations, nationalizations, petrodollar insistence. I dearly enjoyed holding CGR, AUY, GSV, HMY, GFI and a bunch of juniors. Oh well.

Don't know if this resistance will pose a problem for more upside, trendline resistance and 50dma...no pos d on hourly RSI for XIV yet...

possible double top. not sure because the day trend is up, so reversal pattern not easy right.

The buy zone of the cycle (lows of green verticals / oval) must not be breached before new highs (above previous cycle highs) else it is different this time. The hourly slv has a gann time line hitting today FWIW...
Contrarian in me saw a number of end of the PM bull calls by the banks this week - hmmm...

TG - yes lack of positive divergence is not ideal here..

This count is possible...only need neg d on either TSI or MACD plus RSI so we have it on MACD and RSI would like to see on TSI...below MA's would negate count...

Today bulls move is strong enough to suggest buy the dip on my short term swing set up,few examples here on XIV and SPY

VIX buy signal in the works. But a late day reversal could negate it. I'm betting a short term pop to Uempel's "red zone" at which point I'll be looking to exit the rest of my longs. I have entry short below 1495.
