Answer me this: when was the last time you were in their store? It's been years for me. Department stores are a last-century business model. If I want home/tool stuff I go to a big box or local hardware store. Shoes at a shoe store. Clothes at a clothes store. You get the idea. They failed to specialize and realize economies of scale from that specialization not to mention being eaten from different ends by Wal-Marts and Amazons. Remember Service Merchandise? Zayres? Ames? All gone.

Back in the late 80's I was in the workouts business and took an old line department store chain with a great history but left behind the times into chapter 11. It was real sad and not pretty. These things die slow painful deaths. Their real estate and inventory allows them to keep getting financed against collateral even though the business has gone kaput.

I shop there all the time for casual clothing. As matter of fact, it is updated pretty good but store is small and can not provide the needs of all people. He is doing too much for renovations from floor to the ceiling.

I think you are keeping them afloat single-handedly
