I was really bummed out for minute.

Still short.
Still not expecting much as all extended time bear setups fail this year.

My summation index signal is down.
My composite trend signal is neutral but could choose either direction over the next few sessions as a number of components are near thresholds.
If the trend signal decides to flash down, I would hold off on any further shorting until the NYMO cleans up its oversold condition.

I am expecting this short to get stressed if not killed soon.
Even if the bottom is not in, it would not be unusual for the NYMO to take a trip back up to around zero prior to a final push down.
It is a little weird state of affairs as this has been a pretty puny correction to get this indicator to this extreme. I am genuinely curious to see how things unfold.
While there is precedent for NYMO getting more oversold and staying down, it is usually associated with some fear and panic.
With the VIX < 19, I would say there is no scramble for the exit taking place at present.

I'll see how things go and manage the position accordingly.
